Why an own network?
With an own ASN and own prefixes, the resolver addresses no longer depend on a hoster. The addresses stay — even if the infrastructure underneath changes.
Signed ROAs state cryptographically which AS may announce our prefixes. Routers that validate RPKI drop forged routes.
The same address can be announced at multiple sites; BGP routes to the nearest instance — the foundation for low latency and fault tolerance.
