A bigger DynDNS update
–
I've reworked the DynDNS area from the ground up.
The reason was your feedback – a lot of it showed me where things were more cumbersome than they needed to be. Thanks for that, it genuinely helped.
What's changed:
- Suffixes are gone. You no longer have to set anything up in advance – you just create a domain directly.
- DynDNS updates now target the domain itself instead of only a suffix, so your router updates exactly the name you actually use.
- You can enable a wildcard per domain. *.your-domain then points to the same IP as well – handy when several services sit behind one address.
- You can connect your own domains via TSIG and manage them from a single list.
- Both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are now shown everywhere, not just one of the two.
- The dashboards are tidied up and work properly on mobile.
If you notice anything missing or off, please keep the feedback coming.
